The Company

Dovetail Insurance Corporation was formed in November, 2006 by FirstMark Capital and is a privately held insurance services company headquartered in Columbia, S.C.

Dovetail provides a full range of both licensed and unlicensed insurance services and we work together with our clients and business partners to define the right solution for every enterprise. We are focused on finding our customers opportunities that will help them grow and increase revenues. The company provides services for three segments of the insurance industry -  agency programs, managing general agent markets, and carrier markets.  Dovetail is licensed in forty-eight states and is capable of performing all policy related functions from distribution to claims management.

Dovetail’s services capability includes insurance program development and administration, back office services for policy administration and deployment of insurance programs using fully functional advanced technologies that offer a quick, seamless and cost effective solution. Dovetail’s business model allows our client’s to innovate and then implement their plans of entering into new markets or redefining their current operations without delay or major financial investments upfront.

The Dovetail team is comprised of highly experienced individuals that blend both insurance knowledge and technical expertise.  The executive team has average of 26 years of insurance industry and technology experience. Dovetail’s entire team is dedicated to supporting our diverse customer base which includes: carriers, agents, MGAs and highly specialized insurance operations.
